Salil Chowdhary a genius Music director from Bengal composed this song and lyrics by ONV Kuruppu. Yeasudas sang this song from the movie “Pratheeksha” which was released in the year 1978. It is a sad melody and one of the big hit songs in malaylam. Salilda penned so many poems in Bengali, and he composed thousands of songs in Hindi, Bengali and Malayalam also. He got Sangeeth Natak academy award in 1988 and film fare award for the film ‘Madhumathi.
