This song from the movie “Thurakkatha Vathil” released in 1970. P Bhaskaran directed this movie. Prem Nazeer, Madhu, Ragini & Philomina were the actors. P Bhaskaran wrote the beautiful lyrics and Raghavan master composed it, and sung by Yesudas.

Prem Nazeer is a soldier in this movie and he sang this song, when he remembers his lover (Ragini) who lived in his native place. Whenever we hear this song, we can feel a picture of kerala and it touches our heart. Bhaskaran master and Raghavan master, their combination gave us so many melodies songs about kerala. This song is the best of it.

This song from the movie "Chemmeen" released in 1965. It won the Gold medal for the best movie in that year. It was based on Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai's Novel. SL Puram wrote the screenplay and Ramu Karyatt directed the Movie. Lyrics by Vayalar Ramavarma and Music by Salil Choudhari, the great composer from Bangal. K J Yesudas has sung this beautiful song. Sathyan took the lead role of "palani", and Madhu, Sheel, Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair were the co-actors. One of the songs in this movie "manasa myne varoo" sung by the great singer Mannady.

Thakazhi told the story of fishermen community in kerala. This great novel has translated so many languages like English, Italian, German, and several Indian languages.

Innale mayangumbol

This song from the Movie "Anwashichu kandethiyilla" is considered one of the finest melodious songs in malayalm. M.S baburaj composed the music and Bhaskaran master wrote the Lyris, and sung by K J Yesudas. Baburaj was a Hindustani Musician from calicut. In his early years Baburaj sung many songs and he was one of the finest Harmonium player in Kerala. His parents died when he was so young. Living was not an easy task for him. No composer, either before or after, has given Malayalam cinema such refined ghazals. His melodies were cool, soft as a breeze. Most often they were accompanied by the lyrics of P. Bhaskaran and sung by his favourite singers Yesudas and S. Janaki. It is sad to say that his musical genius never got a state award for his work. He died a poor man at a hospital in Chennai in 1978.
