This song from the movie “Marikkunnila Njan”. Ezhachery Ramachandran a great poet wrote the lyrics and the genius music director Raveendran Master tuned this song. G Venugopal sang this song considered the evergreen love song in Malayalam. Master used Hindolam ragam. His all classical based songs were superhits.He utilized the the maximum of Yesudas’s potential. He used the base pitch as well as the top pitch of yesudas’s voice. Once he told an interview that “if Yesudas stop his singing I also will sopt composing music”. But in this song he chose Venugopal’s sweet voice and it became a big hit song. For this song Venugopal got Kerala state award for best play back singer in that year.
